Most men are very proud of their penises and this is the reason why a lumpy penis can ruin one’s self-confidence and self-esteem. On top of that, there are many cases where the lumpy penis brings pain and this is when the situation gets even worse. Modern men know how to take good care of their manhood, but a lumpy penis requires special care.
Lumps and bumps on the penis occur for many different reasons like Fordyce spots, genital warts etc. There are cases when a relatively rare health condition known as lymphangiosclerosis causes a lumpy penis. This health condition might sound a little bit funny, but the truth is that it is very serious. Namely, lymphangiosclerosis is actually an unusually hardened lymph vessel found in the penis. The size of this vessel is between one and two inches. It is easy to spot this hardened vessel because it is significantly raised and relatively thin. It’s good to mention that it looks like a vein, but veins are always blue and these hardened vessels come in different colors.
These lumps provide a fibrous or calcified feeling in men. It can be visible only when the penis is erected or in both states. There are many situations in which the vessel is very bulky and this definitely doesn’t look good. Many women avoid men with a lumpy penis because it is a huge turn off for them. In addition, many men and their partners that notice these lumps believe that the man has developed some sort of sexually transmitted disease. That’s why they are stopping their sexual activity until they see what’s going on.
What causes penis lumps?
Science doesn’t have a definitive answer to this question, but it seems that having intense sexual activity can contribute to the formation of these lumps. To be more precise, when men are involved in sexual activities (solo or with their partner) and they are too rough and too eager, this activity irritates the lymph node and leads to hardening and swelling. Of course, during this activity men are very excited and they probably can’t see anything wrong. Sometimes they have these lumps for days before noticing them. They may have inability to get a harder erection.
Pain associated with lymphangiosclerosis
We must point out, once again, that lymphangiosclerosis is not related to some sexually transmitted or any kind of disease. This condition cannot be passed and it is benign in its essence. But, it can lead to pain. It usually causes pain during sexual intercourse.
How to treat lymphangiosclerosis?
This is not a new health condition, which means that people have already performed some research when it comes to treating lymphangiosclerosis. In most cases, this condition will go on its own. But, if it stays for a few weeks, you should check whether your veins are blocked. If you want to speed up the process of healing you should avoid sexual activities. Additionally, you can use some special herbal creams to improve blood flow in this area.
